A perfume decant is a small amount of a genuine fragrance transferred from its original retail bottle into a smaller spray atomizer. Nothing is added, diluted or reformulated. The liquid in a 5 ml Mini of Dior Sauvage is the same liquid that is in the 100 ml Sauvage bottle on a department-store shelf.
Why decants exist
Designer and niche fragrances are sold in 50, 100 and 200 ml bottles that can cost anywhere from $80 to $400. Most people never finish a full bottle, and nobody can tell from a two-second sniff on a paper strip whether a scent will still smell good on their skin six hours later. A decant lets you wear a fragrance for a week or two, in real life, for a fraction of the price of the bottle.
How we decant in Los Angeles
- We buy the genuine bottle. Every fragrance we sell starts as a sealed retail bottle from the brand or an authorised distributor. We never use clones, dupes or "inspired by" blends.
- We transfer it into a new glass atomizer. Each Mini (5 ml) and Travel (10 ml) is filled from that bottle into a brand-new glass vial with a fine-mist spray head, then labelled with the fragrance name and size.
- We track every batch. Each decant can be traced back to the source bottle it came from.
What you receive
You receive the Love Mini Perfumes atomizer, not the designer bottle. The product photos show the original retail bottle so you can recognise the fragrance, and every listing says so. Is a decant legal and safe?
Yes. Decanting is simply repackaging a product you have bought, and it is a well-established part of the fragrance hobby. Because every decant is poured from an opened bottle into a new atomizer, we treat decants as a hygiene product: all sales are final, but anything that arrives damaged, wrong or missing is replaced or refunded.
